Take bookings
Let customers book from the portal, in your hours or your own booking tool.
- 1
Choose how customers book
Go to Bookings → How customers book and pick one: Use Alfred's calendar (the easiest) or Use my booking tool (Calendly, Cal.com, Square, Acuity and others; their bookings show here too). Customers book from the Book button on your portal, and the portal chat can offer open times too.
On a paid Calendly plan, "Book in chat (Calendly)" lets Alfred show your open Calendly times and book them right in the chat.
- 2
Your hours in Alfred
Answer the questions in "Your hours in Alfred": When are you open? How do appointments work? How far ahead can people book? Who do customers book with? Any days you're closed? Then Save and start taking bookings. Each person can follow your hours or their own; you add people under Portal → Booking.
If Cal.com is connected, your portal shows Cal.com's times. Disconnect it to use your hours in Alfred instead.
- 3
Move or cancel
The Bookings list shows who is coming in. Move picks a new time and Cancel sends the customer an email saying so (for a booking from another tool, cancel it there too). Every booking email also has a "Change or cancel" link, so customers can pick another time or cancel themselves.
- 4
Did they come?
For the last 14 days, Bookings asks "Did they come?". Mark each visit Came or Didn't come. A missed visit lets Alfred offer a new time, and the after-the-visit follow-ups start from these marks.

Bring in reservations
Use OpenTable, Resy, Tock, SevenRooms or another tool? Under "Bring in bookings or reservations from another platform", upload the file it exports. Imported guests show "From your file"; their own platform keeps sending their reminders.
